It couldn’t have been an easy decision, but IMHO it’s the right one. Please let us know when you’re going into the hospital. And when you get to that operating room, I want you to sing - to the music of War: “Colons, huh, What are they good for - Absolutely nothing!” Barb in Texas - Together in the Fight, Whatever it Takes! Guest guest
Larry,I have been out of town and somehow missed that you would be having a colectomy.Hang in there and you will be glad a year from now that you did.It was so hard and took us too long to make the decision to remove Bill's.In the end he was the one who pronounced his colon a goner and that is when we stopped trying everything under the moon to save it.The surgeon warned us that recovery would be a rough couple of months and it was, but then Bill started feeling better than he had in two years. His colon was really making him sicker than the PSC. He was glad to get rid of it. No more running to the BR in the middle of a meal or planning his day by where the bathrooms were. He does not regret even for a second, having the surgery.Bless you and know that I am sending well wishes your way,Lee-----Original Message-----Larry ...soon to be without a colon
