Guest guest
I think these pains should be checked out. I'm had similar pains, and you want to eliminate the possibility of a heart attack. I ended up needing antacids (pepcid). -Marie Make every IM count. Download Messenger and join the i’m Initiative now. It’s free.
Guest guest
Barb and Marie, I agree, he definitely needs to be honest about the pain level. He is getting better but pretty (sorry guys) typical in being stoic. No new veggies, no new meds. And sometimes have occured on an empty stomach. He collapsed about 4 years ago with what we thought was a heart attack, but doctors (although finding some of the chemicals in his bloodstream that are present also with a heart attack) couldn't conclusively say that's what it was. Ruled it "costochondtritis" (sp?) which is basically an infection of the cartilage of the breast-bone. Weird. Wonder if that was a misdiagnosis back then. He has since stopped drinking, weight loss has been evident as well as loss of muscle mass in arms and legs. Loss of appetite, fatigue increase, urine color change. etc. Love the brainstorming here - thank you for helping me find ideas of questions to ask at his next appointment. Husband Tom dx 1994 PSC. If we mention that we feel bad, the women get on our case for whining and being crybabies etc. If we tough it out, we get in trouble for trying to be macho etc! No hard feelings though... Just don't say I'm whining! :-) athan
