Jett-Scherder update

No, , Jett-Scherder has not been transplanted... yet. The

cadaveric liver was substandard, so the doctors decided to pass.

Bruce & Tab (hopeful live donors who Ole Barnsie " passed " on... boy, am I

glad 's away from there!) have whisked their medical records off to

CCF in Ohio, though... at CCF's request, as the doctors there feel

is a perfect candidate for LDLTx (of course, we in this support group know

this to be a very true quirk about PSC & MELD scores!), and they would very

much like to take a close look at the workups of those hopeful donors.

The best way to stay updated on 's condition & progress is to check

in frequently with her CaringBridge site. You can opt to check a box, while

there, for you to be e-mailed her CaringBridge updates.

From 's CaringBridge journal post early this morning:

" The doctors decided to keep me and give me IV vitamin K to bring down my

INR. However, one hour after receiving it my INR had gone up from 2.4 to

2.7! The nurse and I just shook our heads. It had gone down to 1.9 by 3:00

a.m., though. It needs to be down to 1.4 or lower so I am getting two more

units of plasma (I'm on my second, now). I'm due to go down to radiology

about 10 a.m. I hope they take me on time so I can get through this before

and Steve have to leave for the airport.

I may be out of commission most of the day since they will sedate me to

place the filter. I will write as soon as I'm able.
