Terri, Are you by chance lowering from prednisone? I lowered to much to quickly and had the worst pain I have ever had in my joints. My knees were the worst. I couldn't stand and just cried the whole day until my Doc was called and he had me to up my dosage and with in an hour the pain was gone.I had to reduce at 2 1/2mg every two weeks.   Could be.. Iam also having pain level 10 cramps in my joints that usually lastabout 8 hours, if I'm lucky. My Pulmo-Doc said to see my Rheumo Doc,who said it was probably just a fibromyalgia flare from the stress ofthe lung biopsy and fatal diagnosis. My lower limb pain is usually in one knee joint at a time, although itattacked both of my ankles for two days last week.Nobody has ever related it to IPF, yet it is brand new to my body, starting at the same time as my coughing up rusty blood, which drovemy to the Doc for the diagnosis and and immediate 9 day stay with allthe tests.I do NOT have rheumatoid arthritis, just osteo for a 57 year oldnon-smoker. Has someone started a thread about this incredibly painful oddity? Iwas already suffering from co-morbidity, so I used the strongest painmeds you can get (orally), and they couldn't touch the joint aches.Perhaps this is a part of IPF, that has yet to be written up in theliterature.Terri
