Guest guest
I'm a new member and have been reading the various on-going discussions here. I appear to be rather unusual in that I'm VERY happy with taking Oxytetracycline to control my rosacea - I've been taking it for literally years and have had no ill effects whatsoever. I take it in three month courses starting on 4 tablets daily, then reducing to 3 tablets daily after control is gained, then 2 a day, then 1 a day then STOP. I can usually go for about 2 weeks before I need to re-start. I take daily Vitamin C supplements (which antibiotics deplete) and use the breaks between courses to take some lactobacillus - restores benefitial bacteria to the gut. I use a total facial sunblock Spring through to Autumn, and a good moisturiser every night. I think the key has been to build in breaks. Oxytets have allowed me forget my face and get on with life!
