Guest guest
, Good luck to you and tomorrow. I know 's pain, the biopsy is a piece of cake compared to having to lie there for so long. I always ask for pain meds, not for the biopsy, but for the pain in my back, hip, shoulder. I wish you the best. We are dreading the 3-4 hours we have to wait in the hospital > after the biopsy to make sure he doesn't bleed. Guest guest
We're home from the biopsy trip. They first did a dopler ultra sound. The tech hurriedly left to get a doctor during one part. No one would tell us what was up of course. They said our doctor would, but I heard them mumbling. I got to stay in the room for the ultra sound and the biopsy. That was interesting!!! The nurse said there could be some rejection and changed his meds around and he is suppose to have labs done locally on Monday. At least we didn't have to stay. My tush is tired from sitting all day. 4 hours after procedure and about 3 hours of driving home. Ouch! is doing fine. He had no complications. I plan to call transplant nurse tomorrow to find out what all the mumbling was about during Ultra Sound. talked to them while I was driving and we know how he doesn't ask questions. He just says, " ok " . wife of UC & PSC 2000 J pouch 2004 TX 11-18-

Hopefully the new med configuration will get the rejection under control! > talked to them while I > was driving and we know how he doesn't ask questions. For some reason I just never think of the questions 'till after I've hung up! athan
Guest guest
athan, Enjoy your trip. Yeah right, sure. Do you stay at the Guest House? They told us this time that we can no longer get the transplant rate because they are negotiating with the hospital about the price. We still got a medical rate, but that is double! Usually, we spend the night when we have visits to avoid the early drive, but we may have to start driving since they raised the rate. wife of UC & PSC 2000 J pouch 2004 TX 11-18-

The lab got me in and out quickly, and I was done by about 10:00 am! I had a good audiobook to listen to (any other fans of O' out there?) so the drive time passed quickly too! Also they took me completely off prednisone now! > Do you stay at the Guest House? > I stayed in the guesthouse after the transplant because I was going in so often, but when I need to stay I usually stay at my sisters place which is just north of Nashville. It's still an hour in to Vandy, but at least I don't have to get up so early! It's too bad about the transplant rate thing. Did they say if they'll get it reinstituted once they're done renegotiating? I'm sure glad they hadn't started this when I was over there after the transplant! Usually these days I just drive both ways the same day though, so it shouldn't be a big problem for me! athan
