Andi,

The Japan Times! I remember it well. I lived in Tokyo for a year from Aug. 1987 to Aug. 1988. I went back to Japan in 1999 and it seemed to have far less pollution. Somehow they cleaned up Tokyo quite a lot in those intervening years. Sorry to hear about all the problems you're having due to toxin exposure. This is the first I've heard of that.-Marie

Regarding the Atsugi Incinerators. I was stationed at NAS Atsugi from 82-85 and exposed to over 240 toxic chemicals including TCDD Dioxin(100 times higher then the legal limit)and Trichlorethylene. These chemicals leached into the wells on base, and the soil. I developed severe migraines accompanied by vomiting and migraine auras then Crohns disease and finally PSC years later. I also have skin issues, that may or may not be Lupus.There are many others who also developed autoimmune liver diseases as well as other autoimmune diseases and cancers(Leukemia, Renal Cell Carcinoma)due to these toxins.Next we hope to have an article published in the Washington Post and there will be legal action here shortly.
