Guest guest
Hello All! I posted a week or so ago on the possibility of my dad having bile duct cancer. It was confirmed by the brushing. We seen the oncologist today (in Ohio where we live) and he said there is a tumor in the area outside the liver by the gallbladder around the duct. At this point, based on the CT, the pancreas and liver look good. He felt it would be in my dad's best interest to head to the U of M to start a treatment plan. He is going to see Dr. Mark Zalupski. My dad does not have PSC but my husband, was diagnosed 2 yrs ago with it. When I went with my dad to his appt I felt so on top of things after having been a part of this group for so long and really reading and learning about this disease. This has really helped me to understand what my dad is going through. Please conitnue to keep him in your prayers - he is very scared and we are all trying to remain positive. I continue to pray for all of you!! Husband, - Crohns - '88; PSC - 2005 -- now dad diagnosed with biliary cancer.
Guest guest
I wish I could give you a hug. I am so sorry for your fathers diagnosis, but I'm glad that you feel more knowledgeable from having been a member of this site. I pray that things will work out and you will continue to have the strength to deal with the illnesses of your two most important men. wife of UC & PSC 2000 J pouch 2004 TX 11-18-
