Guest guest
Oops, hit the send button too soon, sorry. This just in from Barb, about Ken: WEDNESDAY, JUNE 27, 2007 02:07 PM, CDT Today is TJ's birthday, there won't be any party this year. When I came in this morning, I noticed a change in Ken right away. He isn't doing as well as we had hoped. His liver seems to be OK, but his kidneys aren't and his white cell count (Infection?) is up double over yesterday. Ken didn't respond to the transplant doctor, the PT woman, or his nurse, but he did recognize me. They took more blood to see what's going on and a chest X-ray. They had a hard time finding a good place to put the cath for dialysis, so Ken has a few more places (not many left) that will need to heal. 'Currently' the doctor 'thinks' Ken's kidneys are causing all the problems. Too many toxins not being filtered out. So hopefully after dialysis - late this afternoon, Ken will be much better. Sorry I haven't been able to return phone calls, just too many people in and out and too much going on. I'll be going down with Ken, so will be busy this afternoon too. I'll try and write another update tonight. In the mean time.....no news IS good news. Barb
