Guest guest
Hi Everyone, had his repeat MRCP today, basically it showed beading and irregularity of the common bile duct consistent with progressive sclerosing cholangitis and compared with his previous MRCP from may 05 this beading is more prominent. This we kind of expected. But what I did not expect was a description of his Spleen being 'Bulky'. Does anyone know what this means?? Appreciate any input, Thanks Penny, Mum of Tim, UC and PSC 04, & 05.

Guest guest
Penny D, I have a very enlarged spleen, but have always been told it was due to my immune deficiency, not PSC. It causes low platelets, which I've had for more than 15 years (much longer than the PSC and liver problems) Penny T
Guest guest
Penny, I assume it is an enlarged spleen. This is a known symptom of PSC. Regards, Chaim Boermeester, Israel. Guest guest
Penny, I am sorry but I don't have experience with this myself. It is a possible PSC symptom though.
