Guest guest
Thank you, Sweetpea. Everyone's thrilled, as this lil pea in the pod is the very 1rst granddaughter on either side ( & no girls anywhere in 's family tree, save his own mother). Jim (whose mom dearly wanted Jim to be a girl) was stubbornly set on a granddaughter this time, threatening to go all pink 'n' frilly overboard, no matter what. So, for the sake of this little one, I'm glad Jim got his wish! In a word, *phew!* ;-) Talk about the humdinger transplant roller coaster... prednisone can be one bumpity carnival ride, too. I sincerely feel for Bob ( & of course you, too) with all that dreaded pred, but it's just a necessary evil. It's what I've always said -- about frequently having to weigh the greater & lesser of (side effect) evils, as you go about making these medical decisions. :-( YUM - we agree about home-grown tomatoes... we have brown thumbs (that are not quite black), but our assorted tomatoes are so vine-ripened, they're practically candy. I had to relocate my (replacement) basil INDOORS, due to some critter chomping it down to hopeless stubby-stubs. And after I'd arrived back home to CA from AZ, I'd noticed Jim had done a bit of " vampire " gardening (i.e., nocturnal, as he can't really attempt yard work in daylight!) including trimming back alllll my precious rosemary. What?!? He didn't realize I cook with it almost daily?!? And I could've easily removed the leaves from the stems, to dry what he ended up discarding?!? All the best to you 'n' your Bob, Maureen(iebeanie)
