Guest guest
, I don't sweat but hadn't thought about it possibly being related to PSC. Interesting..... I see you are from KS. I'm from the capital city with a local GI here and my hep is in KC. What doctor do you see? Guest guest
I don't have any trouble working up a sweat (but then, I live in the hot and humid south!). However, seating does make me itch quite considerably. Thus, I keep the air conditioner and fans going full tilt (much to the shivering dismay of my 83 year old Mother who lives with us!) Guest guest
My husband is the one with PSC. He sees Dr. Ricci in Topeka. We are new to the group. My husband has been diagnosed with PSC for nine years and UC for three. The symptoms have been getting worse the last year and a half. He just had a ERCP done yesterday at Stormont. Guest guest
..tina- we had a post recently about people shivering and cold all the time and i am like your husband. i sweat a lot and especially if i go out and go to the store or do anything active. at night i wake up sometimes just drenched in sweat. i keep the air on in my room at 67 degrees all the time. i hate to go places and get to the cashier and be just dabbing my brow of sweat. it's embarrassing. i asked my hep about this and he told me to ask my primary care physician. pam dx 2oo1

Guest guest
Dear ,Long before we knew my son had PSC, he had episodes of exercise/sweat induced itching. When he was 5 and I signed him up for soccer, he would complain that his legs itched when he ran.Of course I blamed the socks/shin guards, same thing with other running sports. Then his freshman year of college he gained 10 pounds and that summer he and I started a running program to take the weight off.Same thing we only ran a mile and he would complain his legs itched. He doesn't sweat much though, but when I look back this itching with exercise was another possible clue to his having PSCmany years ago.LeeDoes anyone else with PSC have trouble working up a sweat, and if you do does it make you itch worse? in KS
Guest guest
Although I was 40 when diagnosed, I remember as a child whenever I did physical activity my leggs and feet would itch. Guest guest
I went through a period where I was sweating at night. It turned out I had autoimmune hepatitis. Once that was diagnosed and treated w/imuran & prednisone, the night sweats stopped. I think night sweats is usually a sign that something is wrong. My mom had them for a while too. She has rheumatoid arthritis, congestive heart failure, osteoporesis, and a host of other ailments. To my knowledge she's not having the night sweats now. -Marie _________________________________________________________________ http://newlivehotmail.com
Guest guest
I don't have a problem with a lack of sweating but when I weight train, hike or go to a more strenuous yoga class my legs and feet itch. Sometimes so bad that if I work out before I go to bed I will scratch until I bleed in my sleep. Never connected it to PSC because its been going on so long. Guest guest
Have you mentioned the night sweats to your doctor? If you haven't, I think it's worth a call. Of course, with menopause, many women suffer from night sweats, but I'm not sure that that would apply to you. -Marie _________________________________________________________________ http://liveearth.msn.com
