Guest guest
Hello Everyone: My name is and I am very new at this. I recently decided for the second time that I have to go throught with a surgical procedure to help me get this poundage off of my body (130+). I started the process of getting things rolling 2 1/4 years ago for the Roux-en-y procedure and chickened out. I was looking on the internet to see what I could find on the Roux-en-y and happened to find this procedur on the internet. I was very excited! This procedure does not sound as drastic and the 1st, HOWEVER I signed up to receive mail from this group and first thing to hear was about s death. All I can think about for the past 2 days is this poor girl decided to do something about her poundage problem and now she is here no longer. I know she has gone to a better place but my heart just aches terribly for her and her family. Thanks for listening I just had to get this off my chest. Can anyone tell me about her other than she was a nice person and lived in Iceland? I feel a closeness yet I know nothing about her. Thank you! Guest guest
, while this is a time of crisis due to the loss of one of our own, it is also a wonderful opportunity for you to see what kind of support this group gives. It is all about information and support through the good, bad and very ugly times. Unfortunately, had the worst complication there is- death. Complications up to and including death are risks of this surgery- through any approach. It has nothing to do with the surgeon or the procedure. It is simply the nature of the beast. I would recommend you go to the website www.clos.net and read everything you can get your hands on, continue to follow the posts and realize firsthand that it is certainly not all bad news and then decide for yourself. We are all here to help in whatever way is possible. kimberly - bmi 57. surgery date to be scheduled this week.
