Guest guest
I don't know if any of you have seen the news of the five young high school graduates who died in a head-on collision a few weeks ago. It was mentioned again this morning on Good Morning America. The combination of an inexperienced driver, a car full of friends, a bit of speed and a cell phone proved deadly. What we do know about the final report is that the young driver -- who was not yet in possession of a drivers' license that would have permitted her to drive at that hour of the night -- was talking on the cell phone within minutes of the crash. There is also the strong possibility that she was text messaging as well. If you have young drivers in the family or know someone who does, please stress how important it is to keep your attention on the road! The only "comforting" thing about the crash is that the girls died on impact -- not in the fire. This is a tragedy that I would hate to see repeated.
