Guest guest
I had a horse on the farm when I was 12 years old. I put the saddle on it, but hooked up the double cinch under the back legs. oops!!!! Didn't know any better. Out of the barn she went this huge brown and white horse I named Dolly. Well, SHE WEREN'T NO DOLLY!!!! lol She started prancing around the yard there and all my relatives were watching as it was my 12th b/day, she bucked so hard that Dad said if he had a shotgun, she would have been a dead horse. Anyhow, next thing I knew I was out like a light, she had thrown me into the barbed wire fence and there I lay. Family put me in bed, called the 'town' doctor, in a small town of 300 people then, and he came out and no xrays, but I was in bed for 2 wks. Couldn't move, just bruised and bumped a lot. GOOD GRIEF. That was it for me but I love the horse races. When I was small and we lived in Jersey, Dad and Mom used to take us to Saratoga NY for the surrey races. Fun days then. ramble..........
