Guest guest
I have not been on for a few days or more and I read some of the anitbiotic topics. I have been on levaquin, cipro cef., avelox you name it. My best advice is to take a florastor everyday you are on an antibiotc especially the broad spectrum. It is a probiotic sold over the counter, it works mainly on the stomach. There is a disease called c diff and belive after having it I will NEVER take an antibiotic without it. Also I see an infectious disease dr I had pseudonomas arg. it the 10 day regimen just held it at bay and it would come back. I had to get 6 weeks of 2 different antibiotics via IV everyday I would go to the dr including sat and sun. I get copies of lab reports and they usually list the drugs that will work. It is a horror show fighting those diseases. I reseach everything, I drive the drs crazy. One time one dr neeless to say I gave him the boot tried to give me one for the pseudonomas and I had read on line it does not work on it. Guest guest
Pink No, no.....I didn't make that clear. My ex-wife is doing fine. In fact I just got back from dinner with her. When I'm talking about holding a sick wife, I'm simply saying she could have flu or anything and I'd sleep with her just as always and sit on the sofa as always. I changed nothing to protect from germs. Just the way i was. Now, of course, if she's sick I'm not going anywhere near her. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Bruce, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I have been thinking that I would take all ten days of the > > > > Levaquin > > > > > > just > > > > > > > to make sure I am o,k, The doctor really didn't say. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Toodles > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Jane UIP/IPF 12/1998 Dalton, Georgia aka pianolady_musicgilr > l > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Bruce: I will not shake hands no way. I politely say I have no immune system. Then I am sitting at the infectious disease drs and I see guy licking something off his hand (sick) then opens the door with the same hand. What are we to do? I carry my own pen when signing paper the check in list at the dr. it sounds nuts however.........AmyTo: Breathe-Support Sent: Sunday, November 16, 2008 8:24:29 PMSubject: Re: Antibiotics Pink No, no.....I didn't make that clear. Guest guest
Patti: I cannot believe they did not do a sputum culture. If anything grows the lab will print what works on it etc. That is one of the reason along with catching staph, all the hospital acquired disease again why I will not ever go back to the hospital. No way.AmyTo: Breathe-Support Sent: Sunday, November 16, 2008 8:22:43 PMSubject: Re: antibiotics amy it is scary in january; i presented with chest pressure and continued to have green sputum.. diagnosed with bronchitis and in hospital; no sputum culture... ended with a culture finally with my request and had pseudomonas and 2 wks later staph.. they thought i was depressed.. mmmm. finally infectious doc placed me on doxycycline and had to have a repeat.. promised i would stay on bedrest so for 3 months in bed. they also started tobramycin which was effective but started my to have wheezing. take care and i guess we really need to advocate for ourselves.. patti > > I have not been on for a few days or more and I read some of the > anitbiotic topics. Guest guest
Amy Just carry some hand sanitizer with you or some wipes or both. If you've been touching things in a public area try not to touch your face until you have a chance to wash or sanitize your hands. For instance if you're going to an appointment at a hospital and have to go through several doors to get to the doctor's office you can always step into the restroom nearest his office or even wipe your hands when you get to his waiting room. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Bruce, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I have been thinking that I would take all ten days of the > > > > > Levaquin > > > > > > > just > > > > > > > > to make sure I am o,k, The doctor really didn't say. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Toodles > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Jane UIP/IPF 12/1998 Dalton, Georgia aka > pianolady_musicgilr > > l > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
