Man, I feel the same way. I have a friend who donated twice. It was a life changing event for ALL of us. Her patient did die which was tragic, but he was 20 years old and he did get one more year of great health before the cancer resurfaced. She has since met the family and that too was wonderful. He was Africian American and she a tall skinny very blond white girl. His father said, " I just knew you were WHITE! " She loved that this gift of life crosses all races. Now they consider her part of their family. One of my guilts has been that IF I were called to donate, (I have been on the list for years) I was too fat to donate.
