Air family vs Docs

hi

let me tell you how frustrating it is going to the docs.. I have

been having left back pain for several weeks.. thinking a kidney

stone and thinking i could fight this this time without the

hospital.. umh...

walking , standing, sitting and lying down were getting

unbelievable. In a nutshell, when i went to temple they told me to

have my primary order abdominal and kidney studies.. after of course

i was reminded not to play around.. waited a few days and then the

pain came like a lions roar.. go to my primary on monday.. find

blood in urine by this time i can bearly walk. she tells me it is my

back.. Orders spinal testing and tells me not to rush.. The nurse

practioner was smart enough to send my urine out and calls over to

the hospital to see if i can get done quickly.. so xrays done.. the

girl in radiology wanted me to call my doc and have her order the

other studies, told her i would wait.. pain no better, i also had to

argue to get something for pain.. mind you i have had pain meds

twice in the past 9 yrs she has treated me.. and she didn't order

them.. once after the biopsy and the other after a severe dog bite

(44 stitches). I spoke with the nurse practioner again to find out

if got xrays back.. showed osteoporosis, DJD, and left scoliosi now.

the urine came back again with blood and white blood cells she says

she is ordering cipro for me.. then put doc on phone as pain/sleep

were going.. asked first if the doc knew there was blood in my

urine. she told her on monday. again she swears it is my back not my

kidneys and wants me to go to physical therapy. told her i didn't

think i could do that now.. she also wasn't aware that i was going

to get cipro and then had the script called in for cipro 250 mg for

3 days only.. after i told her i tried several weeks ago to take

500mg 2xday for 3 days with minimal effect.. i was going to call my

urologist. so i guess if the pain continues after i finish the

antibiotic i will call him.. but it gets so discouraging as i don't

like going to docs in the first place and then treated and told

this. worse part it is a friend.. oh, well, it seems i have been

able to get more info even about ipf from air family then docs. i

find my encouragement comes from you guys.. sorry so lengthy..
