Maybe some of you can remember the exact date...I was too numb. I do know it

was October of 1985, when was six.

As to swallowing capsules, he used to astound the nurses by swallowing them dry!

Dori... " If I haven't grown up by now, I'm never going to. "

was diagnosed December 17, 1999, it was 5:30 pm when the doc came into

the room and said his sweat test was positive, then the crazy feelings took

over, as well as the need to learn everything I could so he could be healthy,

now that I know what to do for him, I can enjoy him even more, even when he

is telling me " mommy, I wont piss you off today " , what a wonderful kid,

:-))), Take care.

Take care,

, mommy of 4, (17), and now a permitted driver, oh I am either

getting old or just prematurely gray, Caleb (7) and still bossing the others

around thinking he is the man of the house even though his daddy is home,

(6) she is gonna be my artist and support her momma, since none of them

are ever leaving home so they say, and (2 1/2) I believe he will be a

baseball player, has the best throw of anyone I know, and I have the bruises

to prove it, a big ole attitude, bright blue eyes and a devlish little grin,

oh yeah, and he has CF.

Crystal,

Not at all. I always remember as I spent the weekend crying my eyes out

over Princess 's funeral (I even taped it) and then the next day when

we got the news of Cf I didn't think I'd have any more tears left in me. So

that for me was a awful weekend altogether.

my daughter was 6 weeks old they were pretty sure when she was born but

couldn/t get enough sweat I remember when they called us with the results

our whole family grandparents aunts uncles etc were there my husband took

the call i just couldn't soon as he hung up he went straight to the bathroom

and shut the door and broke down i knew without having to ask that was

around july 4 1985 she is almost 17 and we have good times and bad times but

we do what we have to to be strong i am a very strong person more so than my

husband he has gone through so many emotions over the years but he is always

there i always think of the phrase GOD only gives us what he knows we can

handle and also have learned through my child that life is short so live

every day to its fullest she is pretty sick right now with an infection but

she wont give up living life to the fullest lisa heather16w/cf jeff13wo/cf

I got a phone call confirming diagnosis on our 10th wedding anniversary.

When my husband came home and I told him, he said sadly, " I guess we weren't

meant for each other after all " .

Needless to say, we didn't feel like celebrating and have never made a big

deal out of our anniversary since, but are still happily together after 25

years.
