Guest guest
Maybe some of you can remember the exact date...I was too numb. I do know it was October of 1985, when was six. As to swallowing capsules, he used to astound the nurses by swallowing them dry! Dori... " If I haven't grown up by now, I'm never going to. Guest guest
was diagnosed December 17, 1999, it was 5:30 pm when the doc came into the room and said his sweat test was positive, then the crazy feelings took over, as well as the need to learn everything I could so he could be healthy, now that I know what to do for him, I can enjoy him even more, even when he is telling me " mommy, I wont piss you off today " , what a wonderful kid, :-))), Take care. Take care, , mommy of 4, (17), and now a permitted driver, oh I am either getting old or just prematurely gray, Caleb (7) and still bossing the others around thinking he is the man of the house even though his daddy is home, (6) she is gonna be my artist and support her momma, since none of them are ever leaving home so they say, and (2 1/2) I believe he will be a baseball player, has the best throw of anyone I know, and I have the bruises to prove it, a big ole attitude, bright blue eyes and a devlish little grin, oh yeah, and he has CF. Guest guest
Crystal, Not at all. I always remember as I spent the weekend crying my eyes out over Princess 's funeral (I even taped it) and then the next day when we got the news of Cf I didn't think I'd have any more tears left in me. So that for me was a awful weekend altogether. Re: date of diagnosis > I have never thought about this but I don't know the actual day we were > diagnosed. Guest guest
I got a phone call confirming diagnosis on our 10th wedding anniversary. When my husband came home and I told him, he said sadly, " I guess we weren't meant for each other after all " . Needless to say, we didn't feel like celebrating and have never made a big deal out of our anniversary since, but are still happily together after 25 years.
