Guest guest
Hi Deanna, welcome to the group. we are in CA too - redwood city, 30 miles south of san francisco. our baby got her helmet at 5 mo and has done really well. I think I get more bothered by the funny looks than many parents, but even then its not too bad. the babies look so cute in the bands that a lot of the looks are just the normal " isn't she cute " looks. we don't have tort so i can't help with that. i can share your frustration that the docs don't help you avoid this problem. we notice flatness at 2 months and our ped just said " it will round out " . I think if we knew about repo then we could have avoided the whole thing. oh well, we still have a healthy beautiful girl, and this is really more of an inconvenience than anything else (especially since our insurance picked up all the cost). I had tears at the scan (when she got measured for the band), but felt fine by the time the band was ready. its the best thing you can do for her. i hope it goes smoothly for you. -christine mom to sydney/ 7 mo/ starband 5-31-06 > > Hi.
