Guest guest
Hi all, I am new to the group and have a few queries. I am 27 (to answer the age q), and foundations I use are Clarins (very light feeling but leaving it on for too long causes irritation)foundation and occaisionally a TV Base from Germany? starting with a K... that has high coverage but causes high irritation (I was modelling until I changed careers and irritation was to bad - very difficult to cover resurfacing red cheeks). I am looking for a derm. in Perth Western Australia with good experience in rosacea. The derm I have seen suggested I don't use sunscreen if it irritates, I have tried suggestions received from the group, but nothing yet, I had a severe reaction to one designed for sensitive sin (babies) and hypoallergenic - even the scent from distance irritates. I have tried the thick zinc oxide creams as well and they irritate. I use aqueous cream as my cleanser and moisturiser and wash my face in lukewarm water in the shower, or in the sink, twice daily. I am currently using Doxycycline - If I stop taking it my skin is much worse bright red all the time, currently I am a pink colour, with heavy flushing and occaisional irritation. I am also using Rozex (metrogel), I have been using it twice daily for 2 weeks, I haven't yet noticed a difference. After exercise my face is burning bright red for about an hour - leading people to think I'm really unfit, quite the opposite, and my skin burns. My skin also tends to get dry and flaky, big flakes. I have also noticed in the past few months my skin is aging rapidly. My hands are very dry and palms are really wrinkly - like a much older persons. The only food that has caused a flair is Tartare sauce. Please Help! Siobhan
