Guest guest
Greetings Dear Friends: Wow....I feel almost like a stranger, not being around for so long; it is good to be sitting and writing to you all. I do my best to keep up with various posts; most of the time they are the same sort of issues, only with different people, which is totally understandable. Afterall, even though this surgery is very personal, it is also a generic surgical procedure. SO....first and foremost I want to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and a HEALTHY, Happy, Joyous, Prosperous and Peaceful New Year!! I have said is before and I say it again, the farther out Post-op I get, the newer this life feels and the more lessons I seem to encounter. I NEVER expected post operative life to look like it does today; which is not to infer that everything is honky dory.....lol. Twice last week I had the infamous WLS Post Op CLOG.......Ugh....we all know what that feels like. Isn't it interesting how we can talk about " throwing up " or the " clog " and normies, no matter how many times they may have been sick and thrown up have no idea of the particular type of feeling I am referring to. Yet, I know that you all know exactly what I am talking about. Well, I seem to have to learn the same lessons over and over. The first clog happened on a " date " .....one where I was trying to make a good impression.....rofl. She brought me over some beef stroganoff and we conversed and ate.......BAD IDEA and beef is majorly a toughy for me to eat at times....depending the cut and my eat state of mind. Talking and eating leads to clogging and feeling that awful feeling till the clog clears.....usually via the way it entered....lol. Believe me, I was NOT laughing then; I had to excuse myself at least 5 times and explain everything to her in detail. The second time was soooooo pitiful it was almost hilarious. I was teaching a 5th grade class and the teachers of the school all collectively brought in various lunch dishes; sort of a multicultural luncheon. Yes....I am back substituting after my 6 week vacation of drainage and the abdominoplasty revision. I am glad that is behind me.......at least I HOPE it is!! Anyway, I ate a bit too quick, too much and of course.....talked and schmoozed with the other teachers. When I picked up my class from the lunch room, I knew I was in trouble....lol. Previously, I have NEVER left a bunch of kids unattended; lucky for me it was only 3/4's of the class and I let them do various enjoyable tasks. Just the same, I was nevous as heck but as you all know, you cannot negotiate the feelings of being sick when they announce themselves. SO.....off to the bathroom I went.......at least 5 times....lol. At one point I spoke to the class and said " kids....LOOK AT ME.....Do I look good " ? They all responded that I looked terrible and were concerned.....so I told them I felt 3 times worse than I looked and implored them to act like mature people cause I was sick as a dog. I am smiling right now.....the kids did great, the clog FINALLY came up....AH.....instant relief.....almost as good as an orgasm.....rofl...actually....probably better when you are in the grips of the sick feelings. SO...enough caffeine ramblings....MORAL of the story........ DON'T TALK WITH YOUR MOUTHS FULL......lol. HAPPY NEW YEAR............. PS....anyone want to start chat times on the facilities I have in " bariworld " . I would like to establish a few set times to meet; I will at least be there, and I would love to talk to others and let us get to discuss things. Let me know if you are interested.....I will probably set up a few times anyways and let you know.....Hope to see you all there.
