Guest guest
Very interesting article about psychopathy in children. Thought some here may enjoy it. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/13/magazine/can-you-call-a-9-year-old-a-psychopat\ h.html?pagewanted=1&_r=2&ref=general&src=me Mia
Guest guest
Wow! Thank you for posting that, I found it very, very interesting. It creates more questions than it answers, in my opinion, in both medical and moral/ethical areas, such as in regard to whether diagnosing someone with psychopathy in childhood is better for the child (so he or she can get some kind of treatment earlier in life for a greater chance of lessening the antisocial behaviors) or worse for the child (because the diagnosis is a stigma and because the treatments currently available simply aren't very effective, yet.) I also found it fascinating that some of the negative behaviors, particularly the violence, the lying, and the manipulative, coldly-calculating, sly, revenge-type behaviors noted in the children in the study were present to some degree or other in my own nada. -Annie > > Very interesting article about psychopathy in children.
