Guest guest
You can also go into your Yahoo account and create an alias to use here. If you also set up a separate email account to use only here at Yahoo, that helps, too. I used a personally-identifying email and username for a long time here, and was close to starting completely over, until I figured out I could make an alias from the same account. So now, people only see the " svktshka " stuff, and I didn't have to re-register or anything. I do understand the worry that someone will find you, which is one reason I changed my info. But most of the time they don't. They're not usually aware enough to know where to search. Sveta
Guest guest
Thanks Sveta - I'll look into how the aliases work. My Eliza name is already very anonymous though - I'm concerned that if this person were on this board she'd recognize me through details and timing of what I'd share. Thanks Eliza > > You can also go into your Yahoo account and create an alias to use here. If you also set up a separate email account to use only here at Yahoo, that helps, too. Guest guest
Thanks Annnie, my main concern is just details giving me away and writing style as well. This person I'm worried about is insanely intelligent - I have no doubt if she read this board for the last month particularly she'd recognize me. Maybe that sounds a little paranoid...ah well it's the truth. I'll investigate getting more anonymous. Eliza > > > > Hi all, do any of you worry that the PD people in your life will find you on here? An NPD person in my family has recently become interested in psychological healing and has been sharing her " research " with me and is internet savvy. I'm scared it won't be long till she identifies herself as a " kid of " BPD or NPD and ends up on one of the groups I count on. I already deleted my first version of this post which had way too much detail because in my heart I can't be sure that she's not already here. I'm so angry too that now one of the few resources I have to communicate with people who get it no longer feels safe. Soon I'll be dropping out and changing my id, but I won't be able to post in the same way. > > > > Can anyone relate to this? On the internet there is no distance...nothing to stop any of our dyfunctional FOO from " meeting " us here. > > > > Eliza > > >
