Hi all,

I'm glad to hear others talking about things like this too. My mom is

only 58 but much older than her years. My question is if yall see your

BPperson changing 'types' ?? For example, my mother was always the

high functioning, assertive, queen like type...but now as she is aging

and I have my own kids and family and stability/independance/life

she's changed into a sickly, paranoid, waif. But she still rages and

flips back to the outrageous queen when the waif doesn't work for her

agenda (landscaper, contractor, retail worker, waiter, etc.) Anyhow,

have things like this happen throughout your lives? =)

I think it makes sense they would shift in types with age. Just as normal

women naturally shift with life stages, so do their coping mechanisms and

perspectives.

My maternal grandma is a queen/witch. My mom is a waif/witch. I think my

grandma is a bit more mellow (but I have NC).

My paternal grandpa is a narcissist, which I think reinforced this appeal

for my dad to marry my mom (they were REALLY young).

But my mom has remained the same. Of course as my family still has young

siblings for her to parent, it makes sense she hasn't changed even if she

in her late 50s.

Oh yeah, that definitely happened with my nada as she got older. She was a

Queen/Witch most of my life, but as she got elderly those stopped working

so well and she started to go Waif more and more. But the Queen/Witch is

still there underneath, and in some ways she's Witchier than ever (because

Queens *HATE* getting old.)
