Guest guest
Howdy, Just wanted to leave a note before I go see my PCP. I'll update you on what's going on tonight. Kitt, you asked where in Europe I came from. To be very specific, a tiny island 20*30 km out in the baltic sea calle Bornholm (in Us Standard it's 15*20 miles) That's where my family has lived for many years, when I moved it was from Odense, about 1.5 hours from the german border. I was an exchange student in North Carolina, I lived in Newport, close to New Bern and Morehead City, where did you live? --- To the lady (sorry i am bad with names) who lived in SD, where in the state do you live? I had the " pleasure " of living two years in ND, Grand Forks, to be specific, and I arrived just after the flood of the Red River. My diagnose was done when I was living there and the climate was beating on me and my poor body. Anyways, I better get back to my duties as I have to leave early to see my doctor who only has office hours... wheee *hugs to you all* Laila
Guest guest
There was someone in this forum who was from overseas where places were less moldy think due to different bldg materials but don't remember which country. > > I know someone who was recently re-exposed and has moved to another state to detox. I talked to a friend of his and his friend said he was going to move to Europe but wasn't clear as to why he was going to move. Which made me think, do countries like Europe have a different approach on the treatment of mold exposure? >
Guest guest
I was thinking along the same lines in terms of building materials used to build homes but was wondering if the medical profession there is more aware of mold exposure and what protocol they use to treat it ? > > There was someone in this forum who was from overseas where places were less moldy think due to different bldg materials but don't remember which country. Guest guest
I am from Europe, Iceland Here there is no other protocol than in USA that is here they only focus on respiratory symptoms. In Denmark f eks they have a checklist about housing for doctors if they get patients with untreatable symptoms. The research here still mostly focus on asthma (Sweden). Here there are no mold spores in the winter due to the cold but then we have more problems with condensation during the winter. We have the same problems but maybe different. Here the mold is more hidden ( research from Sweden) due to low humidity. We use more concrete here in Iceland and only recently started to use gypsum boards. Here in Iceland we have clean and fresh air most of the time – if you are far away from sulphur producing powerplants (geothermal).
