Guest guest
Hi Eryn, I don't think the shape change is a factor. I have a big baby (started at 75-90% and now is 90 for both height & weight). However her head was 50 at birth then 75 then 90+% so we also did an ultrasound after her 6 mo check since her growth wasn't following the curve(no problems found). we also went for an 8 mo check just to get her head measured. I mentioned all this to our ortho before the ultrasound who said " yeah, she does have a big head, she seems fine, but it is probably good to check " . I would think if there was any association he would know about it. However according to our cranio-facial plastic surgeon, cranio brachy is more common in kids with bigger heads. If she seems healthy I wouldn't worry too much about the ultrasound - but it is a good idea. -christine mom to sydney/ 8.5 mo/ starband 5-31-06 > > This may be a crazy question but I gotta ask.
