Guest guest
Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I've been NC with my nada since 2008. I haven't seen or spoken to her. This was my choice. I didn't " tell her " I was doing this... I just ceased contact. She's tried to contact me via phone calls occasionally since my decision to go NC. The last time she called she left 8 voicemail messages around 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning with her just breathing into the phone with loud hang ups. Creepy. She did this a lot to me when I was in college before I went NC (or would call " just to hear [my] voice. " Still creepy. I decided the best thing to do was if I got a call to just let it go to voicemail and then delete it without listening. I don't want to give her the satisfaction of me having listened to the call, nor do I want to get shaken up. She could have been calling to say she was jumping off a bridge and I would have never known! lol. The calls alone get me shaken up. It sucks that whenever my phone rings (even if it's been years since she's tried to call) I still get scared that it's her. She called last night around 9:30 when I had gotten home from 8 hours or work and then my night class for grad school. I got angry because I was starving and finally eating dinner and relaxing with my boyfriend and then I couldn't eat because I panicked! It must be ptsd of sorts because my heart rate shot up when I saw the caller ID and I started shaking. I wish she still didn't have this effect on me. I know this is nothing new... BPDs can't respect boundaries. I'm sure this happens to a lot of people who are NC. It's pretty much to be expected. BPDs feel entitled. Next time I get a new phone (it's been a couple years haha) I will get a new number. This is pretty much a rant... so thanks for anyone who listened. -Cvidz
Guest guest
I am currently working through the Dialectic Therapy Workbook for Anxiety myself to help with my anxiety issues. I might suggest you try that or even the regular Workbook. Its amazing stuff! Bill NC nada calls Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I've been NC with my nada since 2008. I haven't seen or spoken to her. Guest guest
I understand about the PTSD/anxiety. That happens to me, too. It has been much better since NC. I read a tip here once that I think has also helped a lot with the " just to hear your voice " calls. Someone's nada would call over and over and hang up after the outgoing message played. The member decided to change their outgoing message to the factory-installed computer voice instead of the one she recorded herself. And lo and behold, the nada stopped calling. I decided to do this last year after I got a few hangups from nada's number, and haven't gotten any more since. Is that an option for you?
