CVS has the Accu-Chek Compact Plus free after mail in rebate.

I called the manufacturer and asked if I could trade in my old meter for the

updated one. He is sending me the new one and I should have it Wed.

I forgot to ask if the drum for the compact will fit the compact plus. If

not, I'll not be able to use the new one for several months. I just ordered

new strips the other day.

I'm also going to purchase the kit tomorrow (since it is free) to replace

the one I usually carry with me when I'm away from home.
