Guest guest
Also, if the problem is nerve related I question why the pain went away for two months?? after 2 pt appts I had pt on Wed. I went in with burning in the vestibule, came out of pt and it was totally gone, she did trigger point release on my levator ani muscles. But then Thurs I had a flair until Friday afternoon. Friday afternoon it left and I am ok now. This is all so odd to me, why does it come and go like this? If it is nerves wouldn't it be constant pain? if it is spasms, aren't they always spasming? I just feel like the only thing I am certain of after seeing two gyne and 2 pts are that my muscles are spasming. why?? I have no idea?? Can anyone recommend a good specialist to help me get to the bottom of this?? How is Dr Weiss in California? I need someone that is familiar with IC, Vestibulitis, Pelvic Floor Disorders, Vulvodynia, that can give me some straight answers. I don't want to waste any more time with this, this has been going on too long already. CGet a sneak peek of the all-new AOL.com.
Guest guest
Nerve pain can come and go as well. It doesn't always have to be constant. My nerve issues (with the exception of the last 9 months for the most part) has not always been constant. Also, when vestibulodynia used to be called vulvar vestibulitis syndrome (some still call it that) all it is is a group of symptoms in an area that hurts. It doesn't tell you what is causing the pain. Pelvic floor dysfunction/disorder just means that the pelvic floor muscles are not working right and it can be caused by things like stress incontinence, fecal incontinence and other issues such as infections. Guest guest
Kristy you are right. The pain I have with urination has gone away and it comes and goes and problably is related to the vulvodynia more than tissue decline. Millie Re: another question Nerve pain can come and go as well.
