Guest guest
Millie, My initial response wasn't just blather or nonsense. I recntly went through a bad time with bladder spasms and difficult urination. I had been reducing the amount of estrogen I was using (cutting slivers off of my patch at my docs request - to see if I could tolerate a lower dose of estrogen). I had 3 days of very serious pain before my pharmacist suggested sitting in hot water to relax the spasms ( I added a bit of salt to the water) and to drink LOTS AND LOTS.It eventually did relax the bladder and urinating was much more comfortable. The discomfort continued (more mild form) until my full patch kicked in again. So, your discomfort may continue until you have gotten enough estrogen and enough water to keep bladder from seizing up.Just speaking from my own experiences, which is all any of us can do.''Anonymous wrote: Yes, estrogen can help that - if it is due to urethral and vagianl atrophy. If you have some other malady going on, estrogen may not help. For the time being, while you are using your estrogen, drink at least 4/5 glasses of water a day, as passing whatever may have accumulated in your bladder will be a good thing. Guest guest
well, I appreciate your answering my post and I hope I did not give you the impresssion that I felt that your response was nonesense. Oh, please, please, forgive if that was How i came across. Me of all people knows how it is to be treated with lack of respect when it comes to our problems. I am glad you gave me a further explanation of your problems. My pain has gone away and I feel it is like you said from the vulvodynia, I try and relax my muscle before I start to urinate. Even without this problem it is good to drink alot of water, to flush our systems out. Please, I feel bad that you felt I pushed you off. My apologizes if that is how I came across.
