Guest guest
I haven't posted on this site in a while, because in the past few months I've learned to just deal with my symtoms. I've accpeted that every month at some point my body expells hot milky discharge that siginiies to me that I will experience internal rectal and vaginal burning for 1-10 days. -History- Symptoms began in 2004 and shortly thereater I was diagnosed with cervical dysplasia and had it removed with a leap. SInce then all Paps normal. Tried Physical Therapy-no relief Tried Noretryptaline- No relief Anyway, these last few months I began experiencing external itching (not normal for me), so i presumed I had a yeast infection and began treating myself with diflucan and once with terazol. I'd say I used diflucan 4xs and terazol once over the last 4 months. Last year I had a form of yeast called glabrata that developped after my body became reistant to the many many many antifungals and antibiotics I had been taking. Anyway, since I hadn't taken any in about a year, I thought I could again treat any yeast infections with dilflucan or terazol. Long story short? I'm thinking glabratta is back so I'm trying VFEND one more time (2xs a day for 7 days). What is left to do? I can't afford anything not covered by insurance. I'm 24 living with my boyfriend of 3 years and I just want to be normal again....
Guest guest
Diflucan is the wrong antifungal for Glabrata.... I tried diflucan and it does not work for me. I used Nystatin oral powder that you mix with water and drink 2 times a day. I also had to be on the candida diet...very strictly and it took 4 months for the burning and itching to subside. I learned about that drug in a book called The Yeast Connection Handbook by Crook. Reading that book saved me. Do you eat gluten and dairy? Processed foods? Have you kept a food diary? Guest guest
; I dont know enough about what you are dealing with as I dont have that.. Since you say you have had lots of antibiotics, I know enough to suggest a probiotic or acidophilous to restore the good bacteria in your gut. Just want you to know that someone read your post. I am sure others are going to respond with more helpful info. hugs, ML <<<<< Anyway, these last few months I began experiencing external itching (not normal for me), so i presumed I had a yeast infection and began treatinm thinking glabratta is back so I'm trying VFEND one more time (2xs a day for 7 days). Guest guest
Hi -- Are you pain free the other days of the month? That is something to be very thankful for. My pain does not stop at anytime. It might be worth trying some other oral meds, different people respond to different ones. I refused tricyclics for a long time but i'm thinking of giving them a shot because nothing else has helped me (various diets, acupuncture, antihistamines, antibiotics, ultram, neurontin, allergy desensitization/immunotherapy, detoxing, etc. etc.). Is your boyfriend supportive? I am starting to have serious relationship problems because of this and I don't know if we will make it. Write me anytime, > > I haven't posted on this site in a while, because in the past few > months I've learned to just deal with my symtoms. Guest guest
Are you on birth control pills? If you are, what kind?Have you googled to find the patient insert for the name of the birth control you take and read the side effects?Birth control pills are heavily dosed with progestins/progesterones, skewing the female hormone system to be lighter on estrogens than progesterones. Fooling the body into thinking its pregnant through hormonal manipulation. Not having enough estrogen will affect vulvar tissues and vaginal secretions, as well as the frequency of yeast infection due to messing with the pH balance of the vaginal canal. The act of messing with these hormones in this way can , and DOES, affect some women adversely and vulvar/vaginal troubles can be part of those problems.Any number of women on this list who have been on birth control pills have stopped them and found improvement if not remission of their problems. If you aren't on birth control - you prlbably need a complete sex hormone testting, including thyroid. wrote: I haven't posted on this site in a while, because in the past few months I've learned to just deal with my symtoms.
