Your thoughts please, scared. Thanks. Millie, I would go with what you feel comfortable with. It is good that your doc gave you the go ahead with the Estrace...He MUST be taking in your past breast cancer, but I can understand you being nervous. You could start out with 1/2 a gram, or you could continue using the Vagifem (if you feel more comfortable with it) and then use the Estrace externally. From what I understand, when the skin is atrophied more is absorbed into the system, but when the skin heals, almost none is absorbed systemically...but I'm sure it's an individual thing too. ~Chelle
Guest guest
Well, I am going to try the 1/2 gram and I am thinking that some of it will run out and help the external area.He did tell me to rub it in that area once a week after I do the application into the VJ. I guess I am just going to have to resolve myself to the fact that I need it and put the worry away. Millie, you're right, it probably will get on the vulvar skin too. Just do what feels best to you. IF you don't agree with the doc then that is okay. It's so hard to make the decisions about what to do, but trust your God-given instincts and I hope things go really well for you... ~Chelle
