Guest guest
You are so right - that is why all of this is frustrating!!!!! We are ALL so different. You mentioned Neurontin, Lyrica, etc. I take Neurontin 3600mg, but I had terrible reactions to Lyrica and Cymbalta. I ended up in the hospital when I took Lyrica because I had stroke symptoms. But we ALL have to try these things for ourselves. I have tried everything, some good some bad. But what affects me will affect someone else differently. So I encourage everyone to go for it – you won’t know until you try. I also use HRT plus estrogen topically. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of Chelle Sent: Monday, August 06, 2007 3:54 PM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: RE: nne - PT nne, I'm so glad you mentioned your experience with PT and your particular set of circumstances where PT was making your PNE worse. That just goes to show how there truly are so many variables that we must consider. But we if we don't try different things, we'll never know what will work for each of us! Hang in there ladies...~Chelle
Guest guest
nne: I took Neurontin and was up to 3600mg daily. I wanted MORE! Once I switched to Lyrica which was NOT allowed on my plan I had to get a PRIOR exemption which has to be renewed every year, I got relief. Cymbalta made me sick...so we did not persue it. I use the Estrace Patch at the lowest dose and use the Estrace cream in the tube. My specialist says that is something I will have to do all my life. I see her every three months. I started out with 150mg Lyrica in the morning and 75mg at night. Then I went to 150mg at night since it made me sleepy and stopped the 75mg dose enitirely. Presently, I am at 100mg at night. That is it. For the last four months, and I feel good. I do sometimes flair. Not too often. When that happens I take the tramadol. One pill stops it right off the bat. So now I am doing the following: three nights 100mg then next night 75mg. Then back to three nights 100mg and so on. Eventually, my body is going to adjust to the lower dosage. Like Lindsey said teach the nerves. My goal is to be off entirely. I am so grateful that every day brings me closer to no Lyrica in my life. love, ML <<<ject: RE: RE: nne - PT You are so right - that is why all of this is frustrating!!!!! We are ALL so different.
