A PT may not be a Medical Doctor in the sense that we think of them, but boy, I consider a PT a "doctor of the muscles", so to speak. I went to see Tom Ockler a few times, the PT in OH that has answered many questions on this board, and good PT's truly KNOW their stuff when it comes the muscles. >>>>The PT is just a band aid So is just about everything else we use to treat vulvar pain, and many other things for that matter, but if it works...then why not? When I use Advil for a headache, I don't always KNOW the cause...I just want the pain to stop! I use Estrace topically, I still don't know EXACTLY what is up with my hormones...but boy does that Estrace help my skin. It's the best medicated band-aid I've used so far for my vulvar pain. Doesn't mean I'm not still trying to "find the source" of my pain, but who likes to be in pain? Not me! >>>>The doctor that tried to tell me that I had muscle spasms inthat area was a urogyn but as I said I knew she was wrong in mycase. The first thing you need to do is find the cause of the problemthen you can start focusing on the fix to the problem. Kristy It was easy for you to find the cause of your vulvar pain. It was due to your surgery. But not everyone is going to KNOW the cause...and it's NOT easy trying to find that out! It takes time, money and much patience (ugh). ~Chelle
