Guest guest
My husband recently died. The whole food thing is very strange with WLS. I want food for comfort but obviously cannot eat much. It all seems very confusing to me. I was wondering if anyone else out there is also in this position?
Guest guest
Hi! I am so very sorry to hear of your loss!! It must be so difficult to deal with. Have you tried counselling? It m ight help get you over the rough spots. Now that we can't find or use the old ways to medicate, we need to utilize new tools for coping. Wishing you well..... I really understand what you are trying to handle. There are two major losses going on in your life at the same time and both leave a huge hole in your life. My husband committed suicide just days before I received my WLS insurance approval in the mail. He had been struggling with chronic pain for a long time and gave up the fight. I had the surgery not long after his death. It was really difficult for awhile. I was not aware of a local WLS support group, had no family nearby. Try to find support groups near you. I know Austin's Mc House has a grief support group. Most communities usually have some kind of grief counseling, ask your doctor or call a local church. It's really important to talk about what you are dealing with to keep from confusing the two issues in your mind. Please know I will be praying for you. Also, this group is so supportive and I'm sure would be glad to help you anytime you need it.
