Guest guest
I commented here before about redness between my inner labia (where i experience most of my pain), and I was told here that it was due to inflammation...seems logical in your case, too, because if the area's inflamed, it would hurt more, and be consequently red...but that's just my experience. it made a lot of sense to me, though, so i hope it's actually relevant, lol! > > i used to have pain on both sides of my vestibule, now i have pain > only on the left side. it has been like this for about the last 6 > months. yesterday i visited a new PT, she did an exam and noted that i > had redness only in the one area of the left side. that is also where > most of my pain is. > > i don't understand how/why only one area would be red. do any of you > with lots of history and knowledge on this topic know why this could > be or what it means? > > julie >

Guest guest
Throughout all of this, I've always been more red and inflammed on my left side rather than my right. My pelvic muscles are tighter on the left side thus inflamming the nerves more on that side. My current pt has done a lot of myo-facial release through out my whole body. She found the tightest areas on my right side. This tightness transferred to my left side lower down on my body because I was compensating for the tightness on the right side of my body. This isn't the entire answer, just a complicated piece of the puzzle. It took years to find the right doctor who thru a biopsy, that didn't hurt, find that I have Lichen Planus. Have you seen a specialist? You may want to get checked for LP. Now I can control the episodes with a powerful steroid ointment called clobetesol or Temovate. Please ask your doctor about this or go to a derm. who specializes in this. Good Luck! >
