Guest guest
Is Emu oil available over the counter? Hi Im new to the group. I have vulva pain that started slightly and is progressively getting worse. It all started with a discharge and slight burning that I associated with a yeast infection. When I went to the doctor, it was in fact a yeast infection and I was treated with diflucan, which didnt work. So another dose of diflucan and I still had the burning and slight discharge. So I was given the 7 day insertable cream and for the first 3-4 days it was clearing up but then the burning returned, while I was using the cream. After that treatment, I was discharge and burn free for several days, then the burning started again. So I went back to the doctors office and he said the walls of my vagina were clean and tested me for bacterial, UTI or bladder infection. All came back negative. So here I am with this vulva burning and still a slight discharge which by the way, after I discharge the burning increases 10 times I have burning mouth syndrome and belong to a group for that and read that 2 women who also have bms have vulvodynia. I then realized I could have it to. My symptoms are irritation, burning, prickly feeling, tingling, stabbing pain. Right now I am having mostly irritation and prickly feelings. I am currently on medication for bms which is elival. I take .10 at bedtime but have increased it since finding out that treatment of vulvodynia can be elival as well. I dont know where to begin here as far as treatment is concerned or seeing a doctor. I am going to call my gyn today and ask them if they are familiar with this condition or if they can recommend a dr who is. Im very upset about this. But I am also a bit relieved as I thought I had an std of some kind that has gone undiagnosed. All your replies are appreciated and I look forward to learning from you all. Guest guest
Hi, You should also look for a physical therapist that deals with pelvic pain. Tight pelvic floor muscles and tight connective tissue can lead to the burning/discharge and pain that you are experiencing. It can really help. I believe the emu oil is available on-line. I use coconut oil myself and really like it. I bought that on line. Dawn
