Guest guest
When I started using compounded estradiol my estrogen was 25. I used too much of it and in three months it went to 366!! No side effects other than a horrible BV infection. -------------- Original message -------------- Estrace can be and is, in my case, absorbed internally. I can't use it (peasize amount) more than once a week or I spot. The patient insert info actually does tell that is is absorbable. We are all different. What may affect you, may not affect me and vice versa. spanishmiss430 wrote: ,Drs. infuriate me sometimes. Even if they say your hormones are fine, they may not be - it's a very relative thing. And if you just use estrace topically (not inserted in the vagina, but just on the opening) it's not absorbed systemically so it doesn't matter!I am 26, use estrace daily. I am not currently having sex but hope to have sex and babies in the next few years! I will decide what to do about the estrace then. But for right now, it wouldn't hurt you at all, I don't think. A few very sensitive people can't use it even just topically but most of us don't have a problem. You definitely need to get to a better doctor who knows more. I know that feeling of the tight muscle at the opening that you can't get past - PT should really help! I am doing weekly PT and dilators and I am getting much better.Melinda BR>**IF REPLYING TO THIS POST, PLEASE REMOVE ORIGINAL POST, Thanks for your cooperation! *****
Guest guest
Anonymous, you and I seem to have alot in common. Because of my breast cancer I can't use but a little. I have a question for you and the rest of the girls, alot of you girls have been experimenting with estrace for a long time and know alot about it, maybe more than the doctor, but anyway, my question is I too only use a pea amount once a week on the outside of the vulva. Now my question has nothing to do with absorption, each woman is probably different with that. But using it once a week can that maintain the skin where it doesn't thin anymore. I woujld appreciate your knowledge. Millie Estrace topical/Spanish Miss Estrace can be and is, in my case, absorbed internally. I can't use it (peasize amount) more than once a week or I spot. Guest guest
But clearly your blood level numbers show how Estrace is indeed absorbed. You were lucky to have gotten your numbers checked early enough to forestall any serious side effects from long term estrogen at those levels. I am menopausal, but I understand that when we are premenopausal, our hormones fluctuate from phase to phase - so a daily reading of 366 probably would not be a good thing!DustyShopper56@... wrote: When I started using compounded estradiol my estrogen was 25. Guest guest
No, my doctor was not happy with the 366. I had started using it on my thigh as hormone replacement. Then I read that so many women were using it at the opening of their vaginas that I started doing that also. I used wayyyyyyyy to much. Now I just use it at the opening. I haven't gotten my hormones checked since then and that was over a year ago. I probably should have them checked again. -------------- Original message -------------- But clearly your blood level numbers show how Estrace is indeed absorbed.
