I've also used Olive oil. How long have you been using the Estrace? For me, it's really helped a lot.... Hugs, Chelle
Guest guest
Chelle, thank you for the reply and the info. I have been on Estrace for 3 weeks. I think it's a bit irritating for me, but I can tell my skin is improving. I am still burning but not nearly as badly. I take Aveeno baths every night and that has helped as well. How long have you been on Estrace? Has it made your burning completely disappear? Have you ever used emu oil? Thanks again, Melinda -- In VulvarDisorders , Chelle wrote: > > mfwaskow wrote: Also, what is the best lubricant to use? Guest guest
Melinda, Hi! I'm the other Melinda. =) I use emu oil daily and love it!! Only a few people have had reactions to it and that's bound to happen with anything, so I think it's worth a try. When I first used it, I just ordered a tiny bottle to try. Now I order quite a bit =) I use it as a lubricant for intercourse as well. Expensive but well worth it - absolutely everything else I'm tried has irritated me. Guest guest
Hi, I use Slippery Stuff for lubrication. My husband says it's worth it's weight in gold. It is fantastic and sperm friendly too. I got it online at http://www.currentmedicaltechnologies.com/shop/customer/home.php? cat=329 Current medical Technologies is a company that makes physical therapy stuff for pelvic floor problems. Guest guest
I use, and LOVE, 100% pure coconut oil - I use Spectrum. Avail. in health stores and on web, for lube and for comfort on dry days. Also have used and get relief from Calendula Ointment - available same places.Stay away from those antifungals -! More often than not - this disorder is NOT chronic yeast - it just feels like it. That's why it can't be cultured. So many of us (me included) end up further damaging our skin, believing we have yeast - and we don't. If you do suspectyeast - confirm with culture and a sensitivity test (test for which med will cure your TYPE of yeast (there are many types/srains). Sometime, when there IS chronic yeast - it is because the med being used will not cure the strain of yeast present.Continued success!Dustymfwaskow wrote: Hello,Not to be totally confusing, but my name is Melinda as well.
