Guest guest
I looked up phimosis and it is apparently a condition where the clitoral hood does not retract. This could cause the clitoris to become swollen due to accumulation of exudates/sebum, hence the diagnosis " pseudocyst " . But I am not a doctor and if Goldstein thinks that is what you have, and you are willing to see him he might be able to help you. (I understand he does not take insurance and his charges are rather high. Approx. $1000.00 for the initial visit.) phi·mo·sis 1. constriction of the orifice of the prepuce so as to prevent the foreskin from being drawn back to uncover the glans penis. 2. a similar condition involving the clitoris. I would be interested to know what treatment he recommends. He is a surgeon so I presume he might want to do surgery but maybe not. If I had that I would start out by using emu oil to try and soften the " pseudocyst " and help it to loosen up. Another thing you might want to try is the Q-tip twirl but that takes awhile. The Q-tip 'twirl' (From another member) " Was something I termed years ago and is a technique for applying medication, such as Estrace (an estrogen cream), inside the clitoral hood or shaft, so that healing and unfusing if you have adhesions there can take place. " By using the " Q-tip twirl " nightly I was able to completely unfuse my clitoris hood over a period of about two to three months after having solidly been fused (adhesions) for over 3 yrs of the last 10 yrs I had this disease. Guest guest
I would recommend typing Dr. Goldstein's name in the archives search box and you should get some results from about 2 or 3 Summers ago with the discussions that took place when he was on this list. Also, he is very pro surgery. Kristy __________________________________________________

The pain was 24/7 and I couldnt sit or sleep etc. I cried all the time and generally was emotionally and physically a wreck. I am writing just to give you some encouragement....I dont know anything about Dr. Goldstein. My own gynecologist said she had never seen anything like it and referred me to a Vulvar " expert " . I hate that word. But in this case, she suggested stopping all other creams ( I was using estrace for two years and a lubricant with all types of chemicals in it ) ) and just use Emu oil to soothe and keep the area moist. IT WORKED. Emu has an anti-inflamatory affect I guess and it took about 8 weeks. She told me she sees those types of clitoral lesions occasionally so I shouldnt feel alone. I think I either had an alergic long term reaction to the Estrace or I just was very unlucky and developed a sore randomly on an area you really dont want to be sore! It was just red - and a slight raised area - no other symptom. I hope you find relief soon. I know! na

Guest guest
I have been receiving a lot of spam relating to penis enlargement. I don't open the attachments but today I began to wonder if the " remedies " could have any effect on the woman's clitoris. Guest guest
, when the doc gave you the diagnosis, didn't you ask what that is? You really need to make them explain in great detail to you - its your body and you should understand what the problem is from the doc - so that you can completely understand what is happening to your body.Dustyerniejacque wrote: I'm new to the group and am viewing all the posts out here...aftercountless visits to the OBGYNS and being misdiagnosed, my doctorconsulted w/Dr. Goldstein who says I have a pseudocyst of the clitorisand phimosis of the clitoral hood (whatever that is)..so i am seeingGoldstein next week...would anyone care to share the bad things thatthey have heard about Goldstein?? Many Thanks..>> HI all,> I've been lurking for a while and never have time to read all theemails, but just wanted to let you all know that I've been cutting outwheat (among other things) the past few months and the pain during sexhas gone down to a 1 - 2 instead of a 4 - 7 like it used to be. Andthen last night I ate some nan, which is an indian flatbread (oh itwas so good) and this morning it felt like an indian sunburn in myvagina with my husband. (about a 5 pain) Like the skin doesn't wantto stretch. And so I am wondering if there is a connection. I used tothink it was hormones, and I'll get my numbers back for that prettysoon, but it wasn't painful last night (before the nan) at all - likea 0.5 - and this is day 6 of my cycle. Then again I did have half aglass of wine. So thanks Arline for the heads up! > Another thing, I just have to vent, I went to the gyn andmentioned the pain and she completely had no idea what to do or sayabout it, just ignored it. But she is very helpful with theinfertility stuff so that's the direction I'm taking right now. I livein DC but don't want to go to Goldstein, heard some bad thingsabout him. I'm not going to spend a lot of money on this as the painis only during sex and not so bad I can't deal with it. I just wish Icould find a doctor who would validate my complaints, diagnose me withsomething (I don't care what, just make it known that I am not crazyor a hypochondriac!) and even help me would be a plus. I've got the Vbook and am still reading it, but it's crazy that the V book is mydoctor. Thanks . Money is the big issue with me, Ican't even afford the $100 gluten test. *sigh* sorry just had to vent. It's all so complex, to think that gluten could affect your vagina, and maybe even that digestive issues> are connected to bladder and vulvar issues is amazing. And thehormones, with estrogen and testosterone all being part of thepicture. All the doctors just focus on their one little field anddon't look at the big picture. Plus they give medicines to try to fixthe symptom rather than get to the root of the problem, which isharder and takes longer. > Ok ladies (and men if you are there), take care, and thanks forreading if you got this far. Many Thanks.. Hi , and welcome to the group. As far as Goldstein goes, I've never seen him but there seems to be different opinions about him, some like him, some don't. I've also heard he is very expensive. The best advice I can give you is to research all you can about what your doc told you....the more you know the better off you'll be. Hang in there... Guest guest
Dusty: That's the problem...my doctor really didn't know...he had just got off the phone w/Goldstein and that is what Goldstein told him....all I know is what I've researched on the Internet...this is the 3rd diagnosis that I've received...the other two (priapism of the clitoris and LS) that I received by two "experts", after researching myself, I realized I didn't have and continued to see other doctors to find out what this is....i just want someone to pierce it, but they won't becuz of the area....I think it's just a bad infected cyst. Thanks to all for your support! Anonymous wrote: , when the doc gave you the diagnosis, didn't you ask what that is? Guest guest
THanks Chelle....and others...I will research the prior posts and see what they have to say about him...I think that is the norm w/most Dr's. (some like/some dont)...I went to an "expert" OBGYN/Oncologist that deals with Ovarian type cancers, and most people love this Dr., but I absolutely didn't (he diagnosed me w/priapism of the clitoris! which i dont have), so I guess I'll have to judge Goldstein for myself. Thanks again.Chelle wrote: erniejacque <erniejacque (AT) yahoo (DOT) com> wrote: >>>>>>>>>>so i am seeingGoldstein next week...would anyone care to share the bad things thatthey have heard about Goldstein??
