Guest guest
Hi Ciara, Don't feel weird. You aren't weird. You need to solve your problem and what better way than asking a lot of people if they have ideas. The lumps could be an allergic reaction (like small hives-can be very painful). I used to get huge hives from wearing underpants that had been bleached and the chemical reaction through the bleaching had made the rubber in the elastic around the legs highly allergenic. Don't bleach your underpants anybody if they have elastic. So painful I thought I was gonna die. They could be a bacterial infection, even a staph thing--like small boils. They could be infected hair follicles although if I understand where they are, there isn't hair very close. Probably you need to go to a doc if possible to see what they say. Good Luck! I always wonder if people have other health problems going on other than the main complaint. Guest guest
Ciara, I get those alot, in exactly the spot you are describing. I think they are ingrown hairs, because they pop like zits and then become much less painful. BABB wrote: Hi Ciara,Don't feel weird. You aren't weird. Guest guest
Sounds like an ingrown hair. They look like pimples and can be awfully painful. The first time I got one I thought I had herpes. They usually go away within a few days. > > > > > > > > Hi all, > > I'm new here, feel a bit weird telling you all my problem i'm usualy not one > to share but i need help so hopefully i'm in the right place. Guest guest
I get those too. At least it sounds the same. I do have Lichen Sclerosis... you might check to be sure you don't have that? I don't really know if the LS is causing the small lumps or not, though, to be honest. That's not really described as a symptom of LS in books. I wondered, too, if mine were an allergic reaction instead. Things I would rule out, though.... herpes? (it does come and go) chemical allergies, food allergies (do you use maxi pads? That can cause a reaction, also dyes in underwear, clothing) yeast? (I've heard it can cause the lumps, too if they are sore) staph, yes, definitely can cause folliculitis... http://www.dartmouth.edu/~thabif/weeklyClinic082701/Images/09PseudoFo llLesions.jpg you might check for folliculitis (basically inflamed hair follicles) because I have it on my back and chest and it looks just like pimples and is common. It can be caused by either staph, strep, or yeast, fungal infections...or pseudomonas, especially if you spend time in hot tubs. They have to do a biopsy to know for sure. They don't look like chancre sores, do they? If so, you could look at a pic online and that would tell you right away... symptom of syphilis. I'm sure it's not that... > Hi Ciara, > > Don't feel weird. You aren't weird. Guest guest
Yes, I agree. I think it could be a pimple or an ingrown hair. I actually have gotten a couple on the inner part of my major labia, where there is no hair! I'm sorry--I know they're really painful! One time I squeezed until it burst and it was horribly painful and disgusting, but the second time, I just tried to leave it alone and it eventually went away. Just to be safe, you might consider seeing your doctor when you get one. Becky Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage.
