I had BV for NINE MONTHS! I was at my wits end. I finally got rid of it by changing my diet, going off the birth control pill and then using condoms. I have not had BV for 6 years now! Check out AOL Money Finance's list of the hottest products and top money wasters of 2007.

Hi, you're my inspiration. When I followed the anti-yeast diet you described earlier this year, all the burning/pain went away. Would you post it again when you can please? i think it would be helpful for many new group members and a good reminder for people like me. Thank you.blueeberri@... wrote: I had BV for NINE MONTHS! I gave up lots of foods. Sugar, corn syrup, dairy, yeast, foods with food dyes and preservatives. I ate natural and organic. I did eat some wheat in the form of bread that is yeast and sugar free.Check out AOL Money Finance's list of the hottest products and top money wasters of 2007.

I have been dealing with recurring BV FOREVER! I got rid of it about 2

years ago and it was gone for a year but over the past 12 months I

have had it continuously. I have been on Metrogel as well as Cleocin

and neither have completely got rid of it. They help a bit but after a

month or 2 it comes right back. I am feeling as if this is worsening

the pain and that I Will not be able to shake it if this doesn't get

cleared up. A repost of the diet would be WONDERFUL :)

Hi:

Have you tried Tindamax for BV? I think it's one of the newer treatments for it. I used it last year after 10 days of Flaygl. The only side effect was constipation. Right now I'm on Flagyl AGAIN, and it's starting to bother my stomach, which it never did before. I've also used Clindesse which is a cream up the vagina, it's Clindamycin.

Dymond,Prolonged problems of this sort may well indicate a hormonal and resultant pH problem in a woman. Have you had your hormones checked, including your thyroid?Dustydymond_abcinc wrote: I have been dealing with recurring BV FOREVER! I haven't. I have only been checked from routine things in the OB

office. I have never had my hormones or thyroid checked. I thought

about it some time ago but never went through with it. I am beginning

to wonder if my hormones are part of the problem. I am on the pill,

however, which should help with that a bit. I will have to look into

getting a screening for all of those things. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Drymond,

If you are on the pill, hormone testing will not be accurate. Many here

have found that the pill started their V problems or made their V

problems much worse...just want you to know in case you hadn't

considered that yet.
