Guest guest
I tried it and it worked for me. When I was on that diet, I had normal discharge, no burning or itching. I had to shop in health food stores a lot. I had meat and veggies for dinner and lunch. Oatmeal with stevia for breakfast or scrambled eggs. I went off the diet and the problems returned. I am trying to figure out why my body is not getting rid of this on it's own. I did find out my hormones are off balance. I am seeing a new doctor this month.Check out AOL Money Finance's list of the hottest products and top money wasters of 2007.
Guest guest
I went to see a councilor today on orders of a hospital I was in recently. The subject of my vv came up, and she really got in to how yeast could be a main cause of the problem. She suggests for me to take dairies, processed meats, corn beets, peas and tomatoes out of my diet. She also suggested no sugars soda coffee or tea. While this seems like it will be quite difficult to get rid of these all together I will try to wean myself off of them. She said I could continue to eat semi normally if I take a supplement called candidase. She gave me a website to purchase it at as well. It is supposed to lower the PH balance, and she also suggests that I take acidophilus daily. This is supposed to have the same good bacteria's as yogurt with out putting the dairy product in my system. I'd like to know if anyone has tried any of these things and have found it useful. She is having me try this, and if it doesn't work is going to send me to a PT. Many thanks Candi for the website go to http://www.vitacost.com

Candi, some of the ladies on the group have benefited from an anti-yeast diet, some from a gluten free diet, etc. Have you ever tested positive for yeast? Any problems with it that you know of? It's aggravating trying to find out what the cause it...but it seems to be trial and error. PT can definitely be a big help too...hang in there... Guest guest
I only was tested once and she said she found a little bit, but at the same time she also told me I had bacterial vaginosis. I think it got that bad then because I was trying the nuva ring. My vulva really didn't like that at all. I don't honestly know what i was thinking. Guest guest
Candi, Another excellent anti yeast diet is the body ecology diet. It really addresses the problem long term and without supplements if you choose, because it removes ALL foods that feed yeast and adds probiotic foods (like coconut kefir to drink and cultured veggies). Email me off group if you want more info... Melinda
Guest guest
Melinda, If I understand your email correctly you suggested that there is a kefir made from cocnut milk. Can you please give me some information about where you got it, brand, etc. I have never seen it and would like to have some. Guest guest
Arline, The kefir is actually made from coconut water, from young green coconuts. Some women in my diet group make it straight from the coconuts but I buy coconut water at the store, Amy and 's is a good brand. Then you have to culture it yourself with packets of starter bacteria which is tricky to learn but ok once you're used to it - it's a very healing, non-dairy probiotic food that deposits alot of good bacteria in the gut. Email me off group and I'll see if I can find the file with the directions on how to make it. Melinda
Guest guest
Melinda, Thanks so much for the information. I have found it on the internet in several places and probably will attempt to make it. I haven't had much luck with normal yogurt but try, and try again. Thanks again. I am glad you seem to be better. Arline --- spanishmiss430 wrote: > Arline, > The kefir is actually made from coconut water, from > young green > coconuts.
