Guest guest
So, my physical therapy consultation went better than I thought. The therapist, Varona in South Bend, IN, said that it was like my pelvic floor muscles and tissues were glued together, and apparently the two halves of my pelvic bone rotate in opposite directions-my left side rotates backward, my right side forward. part of the fun of my scoliosis, lol! so they started doing " sheers " , and my fiance can help, which is nice. is anyone else doing them/done them in the past? any tips??? Also, I've been feeling odd lately, and since this correlates with me backing off the Elavil (i'm switching to Neurotin whenever the U of M faxes in my prescription!), I was wondering if it's withdrawal symptoms. I understand that since I'm stepping off, I shouldn't notice any, but I thought I'd check here to see if anyone else felt icky when stepping down from/stopping Elavil. Mostly, I've been really paranoid, reduced sleep quality, muscle aches, and a general feeling of malaise. Beth
Guest guest
Hey Beth, what do you mean by 'sheers'? Is that a particular 'exercise' she's having you do? Is she going to be doing skin rolling on you? I hope so. It's very helpful in breaking up all that 'gunky' tissue. Glad to hear that your appt. went better than what you expected. I think structural issues are very important in causes of vulvar pain. It makes senses that if our hips are off or something is out of alignment a nerve or nerves might be compressed. It seems to compromise everything...the way you stand, the way you walk. I hope things go well for you.....Hugs, Chelle

Guest guest
Beth, I am very interested to hear about your visit! I have the exact same issue, with the hips going opposite directions and I have mild scoliosis - never connected the two though!
