Joanne,

My drains had to stay in until they produced no more than 35 cc per day each

for at least two consecutive days. I had one removed after a week but the

second stayed in almost 18 days. It didn't hurt but burned a little if I

moved a certain way. Make sure you strip the lines to keep the suction

going. I felt like they were keeping me from healing....LOL... although I

know they were not but just being there was a pain. Not many clothing

choices with the equivelant of two small NERF balls hanging between your

legs is there? Hang in there and remember, they are keeping you from

swelling........ that fluid has to go somewhere and it's certainly better

coming out. Your results will be so worth it. Are you wearing a compression

garment?
