Guest guest
Did they find any inflammation in your colon or intestines? Good luck with the treatment. Let me know if it works for you. Other than vulvodynia, what are your symptoms of IBS. My husband has it. Sherri -------------- Original message -------------- I was diagnosed with IBS 7 years ago by a GI doctor and have been re-diagnosed by two GI's since. This doctor found a lot of inflammation in my back, thighs and pelvic area. He has set me up on all holistic/naturopathic pills and powders and said that he thinks I should feel better within 1-3 months. He believes that this will cure the IBS and the vulvodynia. Hi: It took a year. She took Pentasa, Asacol, Flagyl, Prednisone, Endocort and Prevacid. IBD is not the same as IBS. Who told you you had IBS and what tests did they do? Did you go to a GI doctor? Are you on any meds for the inflammation besides the vitamin C & D stuff? Sherri -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Cindy Schwartz" <cindyschwartz@... > Sherri,Wow, your response has given me so much hope, Thanks for taking the time to write back. How long did it take for your daughter to get the inflammation under control and what did she do to fix it?Thanks again, you made my X-mas Hi Cindy: Good luck with your treatment. My daughters vulvodynia was caused from her IBD. (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) (Crohn's Disease). When the inflammation from the Crohn's was under control, her vulvodynia went away. Sherri -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Cindy Schwartz" <cindyschwartz@... > Hi all,Quick question. I remember when I first started researching vulvodynia I read somewhere that Vitamin D and C could aggravate symptoms. has anyone ever had any experience with that? I went to go see a specialist this week and he is convinced that the vulvodynia is caused by inflammation from my IBS and has out me on an IBS heal intestinal tract kit which includes C & D. I have had pain since I started the powder and don't know if they are related. Any ideas? Thanks and happy holidays to everyone :)Cindy__._, _.___
Guest guest
So many people with IBS/Crohn's have some form of gluten and/or other food intolerance...which causes severe vitamin and mineral deficiencies, which leads to other immune disorders. It's a vicious cycle..I feel like finally discovering my gluten intolerance explained SO many other health issues. Melinda

Upon my continued suggesting, she left that position, the IBS subsided immediately and never returned, that was in the latedd 70's. Sometimes the role of stress goes by us, until pointed out. Also, we both have recently started with a cleansing tea that is very beneficial..............wwww.holyteaclub.com/mlmpro It has 5 herbs like blessed thistle, holy thistle, ( thus the name ) persimmon leaves, malva leaves, marshmallow leaves. We are both feeling much more energetic since using the tea. Their packagaing says May be beneficial for weight loss, Detoxifies ( chemicals, parasites, bacteria, toxins), stomach disttress ( constipation, indigestion, acid reflux, bloating) We have both lost some lbs using the tea, and generally feel improed vitality. I also use recently a substance called natural cellular defense ......www.ncdpro.com/mlmpro , which is a patented product ( health supplement ) that removes toxins and heavy metals. I became interested in removing any residual mercury since having had all of my amalgam fillings removed over 15 yrs ago. I know the topic of mercury amalgam fillings can be quite controversial, but for my part I regained energy levels that felt like 7o % increase all those yrs ago just by having them removed. I never had chelation therapy during the removal process, so now all these years later, my discovery of this item motivates me in a big way to see if there is something to it. It is now about 3 months and I have observed some major benefits in my own personal health. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you too, Ken
Guest guest
The specialist wants me to go for special allergy tests that will determine what intolerances I have. The test is 1000$ and not covered by insurance. Does anyone know if you can do these tests through a non-private doctor? Or through the hospital? Guest guest
Hi: What does your specialist specialize in? My daughter (with Crohn's) is lactose intolerant. No test needed. Eat dairy, get sick. Anyone who is lactose intolerant needs to have a dexa scan. My daughter was diagnosed with osteoporosis at 15!! I'm 51 and don't have osteoporosis! Guest guest
Most insurances won't cover these tests for food intolerances because they are considered somewhat " alternative " although I don't know why. Stool tests are generally the most reliable, I order mine through www.enterolab.com - very reliable, many in my groups have used them. It sucks to pay yourself, but it is worth it to discover something big like that going on. Melinda
