Guest guest
Hi Marcia, do you have vestibulitis and mainly pain on contact or do you have 24/7 pain? I had years of 24/7 and contact pain, too. I was in a lot of pain when I began the Estrace, but I just very gently massaged a pea size dab onto my vestibule. Can you use Lidocaine? You could put some on (it may cause some burning initially, but calms down), and then when it numbs, rub on some Estrace. Some of ladies get their Estrace and Lidocaine compounded, but I haven't had too. Some docs prescribe both to be used together. Hope you find relief. And lidocaine is even worse! It burns badly and hasn't helped at all. I guess I'll try to get the estrace in " the vicinity " and hope somehow, it works its way up there. Maybe that's naive. Seems I have tried almost everything. I have tried Elavil, Neurontin, Cymbalta and Lyrica. I am ultra-sensitive to medications and had severe enough side-effects with all of them, enough to have to discontinue them. Are there any meds I haven't tried that anyone knows of? I also tried PT but had BAD PT. And she is the only one in at least 100 miles so no luck that way either. I am afraid of nerve blocks (a needle, WHERE?!?) and the ultimate, vestibulectomy. I'm almost desperate enough to have the surgery but I don't think there's a pain medication I could handle. I have stomach issues as well....that's what did me in with the Cymbalta. Looking for ideas if anyone can help. Regards, Marcia G. >
Guest guest
Marcia: I have heard that PAXIL is good for pain. It is also an anti anxiety drug. Have you tried using the tube that comes in the ESTRACE cream package to insert the ESTRACE. If you try it, make sure you get the tube that is the smaller in diameter. Some of them come with the tube that is HUGE. I asked my gyno for the smaller tube that they have in their office. Hope this has helped some. Have you tried taking a bath in Epsom salt. Or in the Salts that are used for aquarium water? THAT might give some relief. Lay with your legs apart and prop one leg up to let air circulate when you can relax. hugs, ML
