I totally agree with the whole mind-body connection, but wow its hard to focus on the positives when ur lying in a fetal position with ur crotch on fire! I can feel more positive now that the horrific pain is behind me, but

at the time if someone told me to think happy thoughts I would have flipped them the bird!!!!!!! I think I pretty much have post traumatic stress-looking back at that time frame in my life causes me tremendous fear:(

My pain has gotten alot better thank God, occasionally I get strange sensations- jabbing type pains up my butt and vagina which are fleeting in nature thankfully and don't stay long. My neurologist says it could be the nerve healing- hopefully that is th ecase. The really bad burning hasn't occurred for quite sometime. I think the scariest part of it all is that there is no definitive answers- causes, treatments. For me, it is important to arm myself with a good support network- ie neurologist, pcp, gyne, homeopathic doctor in the event that the pain rears its ugly head again. I was wondering if any one on this board has started/thought of starting a support group in their local community for vulvodynia/pn issues? I have been thinking of it only because it was so traumatic not to have some support locally to count on when I was going thru the pain.

CStart the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.
