Guest guest
Hi ,I have VLP and I also have a difficult time with the clitoral area (12 o'clock). And, yes, you can fuse even if there are no skin changes present. That is why you always need to keep up on your treatment. Fusing can also happen very quickly. I have been so fortunate to not have fused and hopefully I won't. I examine my skin every day, but I have to anyway to apply my meds properly. You can also have nerve issues with this, as I do. I take Neurontin for this and it helps me a lot. The feeling you described is similar to what I have experienced, which is a lot better now that I take Neurontin. I also used to get severe spasms, which have subsided quite a bit. I have been dealing with this for a long time and what you are describing sounds a lot like what I had/have, as far as the nerve issues. Do you have any inflammation, stinging, burning or itching? Do you have an LP diagnosis? For quite some time I was being treated for chronic yeast and then vulvodynia and then I was referred to Dr. , who I am sure you are familiar with. She was the one who diagnosed me with LP despite having a negative biopsy. Please ask if you have any more questions or you can email me.Mindy>> For those of you who have LP or LS, is it possible for fusing to > happen if there is no change in the skin color? > Thanks so much,> >
Guest guest
Thanks Mindy, I am in the process of setting up my first appointment with Dr. (sending my paperwork in today actually) so hopefully it won't take too long to get an appt. with her. I am beginning to think I have LP and I am terrified that the hood and labia will fuse over, and as you said, quickly. I've heard though that it is difficult to control around the clitoris because it can be on the inside of the hood. Is this like your case? Do you know how it would be controlled if just in the clitoral area? I didn't think it was really possible to get cream or medicines under there....? Also, how do they do a biopsy if it's on the clitoris/under the hood where you only have pain? Thanks so much, Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now. Guest guest
, I have LP and haven't had clitoral fusing (I don't think) but my inner labia are almost completely gone, with no color change. I'm still nice and pink, just no more labia. =( Melinda

Guest guest
Where is Dr. s office? -- Re: LP/LS fusing and shocks? , I never had a biopsy at 's office and got diagnosed LP. The symptoms were so classic - onset after hep. B vaccine series, inflammatory vaginal discharge, pain with sex and around the clitoris, redness and inflammation of the vulvar skin, fusing of the inner labia. There's only so many things it can be. =) Melinda **IF REPLYING TO THIS POST, PLEASE REMOVE ORIGINAL POST, Thanks for your cooperation! ** ***

Guest guest
Mindy, I was interested in your response to about the LP being just on your clitoris but not under the hood...I continue to think there must be something weird about my clitoris. I have the LP irritation under the hood - therefore, I assume it's on my clitoris, because my clitoris is UNDER the hood. I can't see it. Arggh. says it's normal.
